I am here to listen and guide you through your thoughts and feelings in a safe, friendly space.
I'm an integrative counsellor and clinical supervisor based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire.
I believe that therapy is a powerful and supportive way to find your own solutions. Outside of work, I like travelling, and spending time with family and friends. I became a counsellor after having counselling myself, although sometimes painful it transformed the way I think about myself.
Life can be challenging, and I believe everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to share and heal. My goal is to support you on your journey, helping you navigate life’s ups and downs with understanding and care. I am educated to degree level and hold a BA Hon's in Counselling Solutions and a Diploma in the Practice of Supervision.
I have been a counsellor for 5 years working for a children and young persons charity supporting both young people and adults I have been a Clinical Supervisor for 2 years. I regularly access further training to inform and develop my knowledge and practice.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult, we all have moments when we need someone to talk to. I provide a warm, welcoming environment where you can open up, explore your feelings, and be heard – without judgement.
I am here to listen and guide you through your thoughts and feelings in a safe, friendly space. I understand that everyone is unique, and I am here to help you make sense of things at your own pace.
Sometimes, life’s pressures can weigh heavy on our minds – work, relationships, family, or simply the complexity of day-to-day life. I offer a compassionate, confidential space to talk through these feelings, helping you to find clarity, build resilience, and regain a sense of control.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:
Counselling can help you understand and manage feelings of depression and anxiety.
Counselling can help you navigate difficult relationships and develop healthier patterns of communication.
Trauma symptoms can be the result of an overwhelming event or it can be the culmination of many events. Counselling can help identify and gain control of symptoms of trauma.
Counselling can help with the impact and emotional response to living in a new culture. It can help you work through your response to the losses and gains of the new life and to understand the conflicts you may feel deeply with both cultures.
If you are struggling with the loss of a loved one, counselling can help you process your grief and find meaning in your loss.
Counselling can help you develop a healthier self-image and work toward personal growth and fulfilment.
Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.
Trouble with a relationship; anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings or depression - many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.
Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, healthier choices moving forward.
I am a qualified and experienced clinical supervisor, offering supervision to qualified and trainee therapists for counselling. I aim to work collaboratively with you and offer you the space to reflect on your counselling practice, facilitate your ongoing professional learning, growth and development, and support your professional and personal wellbeing for the benefit of your clients.
In supervision I support counsellors to stay grounded, maintain professional and ethical boundaries, explore client work and relationships, interventions and personal issues which may be affecting their practice. I offer a respectful and very human relationship where there is an atmosphere of acceptance and care within it, and the environment.
I enjoy being real and laughter is always welcome in supervision, as well as the struggles of working through ethical dilemmas and feelings that can arise from client work, celebrating your successes is a must! Being part of your growth and development journey is a privilege that I never tire of.
I believe supervision works best when the therapist is supported, encouraged and gently challenged in a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I see my role as supervisor in helping you to identify blocks, unpick feelings of 'stuckness' within the work, being curious about your feelings, responses and processes and sharing useful resources, reading and CPD when appropriate; to look at self-care, best practice and issues of ethics in clinical context, e.g. professional learning, growth and development, and support your professional and personal wellbeing for the benefit of your clients.
